| Dec 15, 2025 | Permanently | Parking Lots 92, 94, 97 | Due to the second phase of the Gateway District and demolition of the east side of David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, lots 92, 94, and 97 will close permanently. Vehicles remaining in lots 92, 94, 97 after Dec 15 will be towed. These yellow zone lots are largely used for overflow parking for nearby residence halls and student day parking. For Spring semester, KU Transportation will convert more than 30 red zone spaces to yellow spaces in Lot 91, which sits just north of Spencer Museum of Art. With that change, the lot will hold more than 100 yellow spaces. KU Transportation will also establish a new lot north of 11th Street between Mississippi and Illinois Streets for overflow parking from GSP and Corbin Halls. Yellow zone parking will continue to be available on the west side of the stadium in Lots 50, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60 and 65. Yellow zone permit holders are also encouraged to explore park and ride options in Lots 300 and 302 on the West District where circulator buses can deliver riders to Jayhawk Boulevard in 10 to 20 minutes. | View |
| Sept 11, 2025 | March 2026 | Sidewalk in front of Ritchie and Lindley Halls along Crescent Road | Starting September 11, the sidewalk in front of Ritchie and Lindley Halls will close to allow work on the north side of Lindley's foundation. The closing will move foot traffic to the north side of Crescent Road. Pedestrians should use the crosswalks west of Chi Omega fountain and on the west side of the Crescent Road and Naismith Drive Intersection; see attached map. The exterior stairs between Lindley and Ritchie will be closed. The project will not close roads, but drivers should be aware of the increase in pedestrians at the crosswalks and of heavy truck traffic in the area.
